The friendly greeting is alive and well here in Portland, Oregon. I always wave unless I am unable to respond due to traffic situations. Type of bike we are riding doesn't seem to make a difference here. Oregon is known to be a 'real friendly' state all around, so it stands to reason that our bikers would be a 'wavey' lot.
